IWC’s unveiled their Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII TOP GUN Miramar, which pulls inspiration from a traditional observer’s watch. And with these iconic watches, the main priority was legibility of the seconds and minutes, as opposed to the hours. This beauty does just that by putting the seconds and minutes in an outer ring and shrinking the hours in a central ring. Power comes from IWC’s 30110 calibre automatic movement, which has a power reserve of 42 hours. It features a 41mm ceramic case, is water-resistant to 6 bar, and contains a soft-iron cage. The case back is decorated with an elaborate Top Gun engraving. The dial’s anthracite color blends well with the tan accents and is matched with a green calfskin strap. The IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII TOP GUN Miramar comes in at a $5,450 pricepoint and will be available through authorized dealers.
