Swiss watchmaker TUDOR has unveiled an all-black matte version of their iconic Black Bay watch at this week’s Baselworld. The Black Bay “dark” dive watch comes in a 41mm case, has a domed dial, and features the brand’s self-winding, in-house MT5602 movement. The winding crown comes from the famous 7924 reference watch of 1958, which was dubbed the “Big Crown” and the angular “snowflake” hands are adopted from 1970s TUDOR’s worn by the French National Navy. Needless to say, as modern as this black PVD-treated Black Bay is, it’s got a ton of history fueling it. The TUDOR Heritage Black Bay Dark comes with your choice of matching black PVD-treated steel bracelet or an aged leather strap with a black PVD-treated steel folding clasp and is paired with an extra grey fabric strap as well. Look for more release info around the watch to become available.
