Last year, COS partnered with Snarkitecture for a custom installation at Salone del Mobile. They’re continuing their presence at the show, this time commissioning Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto for something special. With inspiration coming from the COS S/S 2016 collection, “Forest of Light” explores ideas of interaction and perspective. There are towering cones of light that are aware of visitors’ movements while specially-composed sounds, subtle fog and mirrored walls create a never-ending landscape. The installation’s housed inside Milan’s Cinema Arti, a former theatre that’s now a massive, run-down space that has infinite space and character. The installation has a strong sense of minimalism, something that aligns heavily with the COS brand and the pieces they create.

This is the fifth year of COS installations at Salone del Mobile, with the showing open from April 12th to 17th.
