Hermes Introduces Blue Version Of H08 Flagship Timepiece

Hermes, the French luxury design house that’s mostly known for its handbags and silk ties, has been trying to infiltrate the luxury Swiss watchmaking market for over 50 years. Hermes boss Laurent Dordet has been talking about becoming “legitimate and accepted” in the field since 2019.

Launched in 2021, the sporty Hermes H08 has been a breakthrough for the brand, helping to raise the French brand’s watch sales by 73% last year. The H08 is quintessentially Hermes, being presented in an understated, Parisian chic with custom off-beat typography and a rare cushion-shaped case.

Now, a blue H08 version has been announced, coming in at the same 39mm x 39mm with a 45-hour power reserve. With the H08’s previous design intact, Hermes has moved away from the two-tone DLC-coated titanium and graphene composite and we’re glad they did. This H08 features pops of color with orange accents and uses blue titanium and black ceramic for its case and bezel, respectively. The dial is treated in PVD for texture and depth.

H08-Blue is a part of Hermes men’s ready-to-wear pieces, sitting on a blue rubber strap with a black DLC titanium buckle at £6,330. Customers can opt for a fabric strap for £6,310.
