Porsche Cayenne Goes Off-Road with Resto-Mods

Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE challenged two Porsche importers in the UAE to create a range of custom Cayenne builds for the Icons of Porsche Fest held in Dubai over the weekend in celebration of the Cayenne’s 20th anniversary.

Porsche Centre Dubai and the Northern Emirates and Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi each purchased four first-generation Cayennes from the 2007 to 2010 model years, using the same process used for Porsche Approved certification and modifying them for off-road use.

To get the cars off-road worthy, they received various upgrades from Porsche’s expansive classic parts catalog. It included lift kits, off-road wheels, roof racks, exterior rear spare wheel carriers, underbody protection, light bars, roof racks for roof tents, and other liveries.

The white #11 Cayenne was given a Porsche Tequipment rooftop tent and 18-inch matte-black Porsche Classic wheels with a laser-engraved Porsche logo. Three cars got outfitted with retail decal packages: Adventure, in Guards Red; Rallye, in Ice Race Blue; and Hunt, in Hunting Car Olive. Four of the cars received front and rear wheel spacers with cylindrical bumper bars.

The eight modded Cayennes were on display at the Dubai Icons of Porsche Festival, after which, they were put on sale. The Porsche Classic catalog will be adding more off-road parts in 2023.
