Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce Annual Calendar Ref 5261R Brings Calendar Complication To Aquanaut Luce Collection

Revealed at the Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023, the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce Annual Calendar ref. 5261R is the first time the brand’s patented calendar complication finds its way into the Geneva-based watchmaker’s Aquanaut Luce collection.

The Aquanaut Luce Annual Calendar ref. 5261R features a 39.9mm 18k rose gold case, a bluish-gray dial with Aquanaut’s signature pattern, white luminescent coated 18k rose gold Arabic numeral hour markers, and baton-style 18k rose gold hour and minute hands with white luminescent inlays. It has a luminescent-coated Pfinodal seconds hand, a rectangular date window at 6 o’clock, and day and month circular counters plus above that, we can see a moon phase indicator resides at 12’ o’clock. The timepiece also sports flat sapphire crystals over the dial and set into the screw-down display case back, a signed winding crown at 3 o’clock, Aquanaut’s signature large integrated crown guards, a stop-seconds functionality, and a water resistance of 30 meters.

The composite grayish-blue Aquanaut rubber strap is salt water and ultraviolet rays resistant, and fitted with an 18k rose gold foldover clasp with four independent catches. It features the Aquanaut collection’s embossed signature pattern.

The new automatic movement powering the Aquanaut Luce Annual Calendar reference 5261R is the self-winding caliber 26-330 S QA LU fitted with the annual calendar module with moon phases. It features a 21k gold central oscillating weight signed with the Patek Philippe seal, 319 components, 34 jewels, a Gyromax balance wheel, and a Spiromax balance spring. It runs at a frequency of 28,800vph (4 Hz), with power reserves between a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 45 hours.
