UNDERCOVER, the Japanese streetwear brand founded by Jun Takahashi in 1993, just dropped RECORD, its photobook project by Paris-based photographer WATARU. The hardcover photo book is the third from the clothing brand after ‘The Shepherd’ in 2008 and Taro Mizutani’s ‘Chaos/Balance’ in 2017.
The book gives a behind-the-scenes photographic glimpse at the lead-up and backstage preparation of UNDERCOVER runway shows covering three seasons between the Spring/Summer of 2016 and 2017.
Also tying into the RECORD photobook’s release is an exclusive graphic tee that can be purchased as part of a package, and available separately, three photo tees featuring images selected from the book by Takahashi himself.
The UNDERCOVER RECORD photobook is set to drop on June 21st at UNDERCOVER shops worldwide, Daikanyama TSUTAYA BOOKS, and the UNDERCOVER webstore.
