ZEGNA SS24 ‘L’Oasi di Lino’ Puts Linen On Centerstage

The ZEGNA Spring/Summer 2024 collection, presented during Milan Fashion Week at the Piazza San Fedele, made it very clear what the collection’s highlight is. Lined with bales of raw linen, the collection is a celebration of all things linen.

The ‘L’Oasi di Lino’ collection ran with a light palette of neutral hues in calcare, juta, mastice, aral gray,  linfa, agave, lichene and petra, ferruggine, with a dash of flamingo and Namibia orange, and punctuated by the ever-in-season blacks and whites.

It features a play on textures with the use of linen gabardine, linen failie, compact linen knit, compact Blue Flower linen, satin linen, jute oxford, washi paper, raffia, silk pipeline, seta tussa, recycled wool granitè, double-faced wool, tela vela, mohair poplin, line and bourette and silk canvas, hammered nabuk, and bonded calf leather on tops, bottoms, underpinnings, and accessories.

Highlight pieces of the collection includes deconstructed jackets with low or standing collars, airy duster coats, jackets replaced by round-neck tops that replace jackets, vests that double as tank tops; bombers that flow into shirts, and sack jackets with ¾ length sleeves make a return. Accessories include knitted triangular scarves, knitted caps, geometric handbags, double glasses, massive-soled slip-on shoes cut from one piece of leather, and the iconic Triple Stitch™ Luxury Leisurewear espadrille shoe.
