Louis Vuitton celebrates the 10th anniversary of its Escale model with the release of a quartet of métiers d’art timepieces. The luxury wristwatches are time-only pieces featuring 8-carat polished rose gold or platinum finishes and a 39 mm-wide watchcase.
The platinum versions have a Gibeon meteorite center dial, a slick onyx center, and a bezel with baguette-cut diamonds. One of the rose gold versions is fitted with a silver dial and camel leather straps, while the other has a royal blue dial with matching calf leather straps. The dials in both editions have stamped textured centers representing Louis Vuitton’s iconic canvas. Dotted chapter rings and quarter-hour markers are present in all variants that complement the color of the case.
The watches also pay homage to LV trunks. The quarter indices resemble the trunks’ signature brass brackets and corners, and the lugs have the angular and riveted look of the hallmarked trunk cases.
Apart from the luxury design of the watches, the new Escale models are impressive with their LFT023 self-winding mechanical caliber that beats at a remarkable frequency of 28,800 hourly vibrations.
The four new Escale timepieces are priced between $26,400 and $168,000 and are currently available for inquiry through Louis Vuitton.
