Sotheby’s To Feature Steve McQueen’s Iconic ‘Le Mans’ Heuer Monaco Watch In Upcoming Auction

The iconic Heuer Monaco, famously worn by Steve McQueen during the filming of the 1971 film Le Mans will be up for auction at Sotheby’s upcoming New York Important Watches Auction. This coveted timepiece headlines Sotheby’s Heuer Champions lineup, featuring historic Heuer masterpieces

The Heuer ref. 1133B timepiece boasts a distinctive square case and gray-blue dial, complemented by contrasting white sub-counters and minute track. Bold red accents on hands and hour markers emphasize its racing heritage. 

After over five decades, this legendary watch will be publicly displayed at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction from August 14th to 17th and then at Sotheby’s New York from December 5th to 10th, ahead of the auction on December 11th, where it’s estimated to fetch between $500,000 to $1,000,000.
