Girard-Perregaux Debuts A Honey Limited-Edition La Esmeralda ‘A Secret’ Eternity Edition
Girard-Perregaux added another version of their La Esmeralda Tourbillon to their Bridges collection. The new La Esmeralda ‘A Secret’ Eternity Edition features rich honey tones with pink gold accents inspired by the La Chaux-de-Fonds landscape.
The watch has a more sophisticated appearance than its predecessor thanks to its presentation in a 43 mm pink gold casing with Three Gold Bridges. A traditional rose engine lathe is used to handcraft the sunray, and circular guilloché motifs adorn the honey-colored Grand Feu dial.
The case, bezel, lugs, and buckle are engraved, paying tribute to Constant Girard’s 1889 pocket watch. The case features a honey-toned Grand Feu enamel similar to the dial and is made using the Champlevé technique, providing a fade-free finish. The rear of the case has a fluted pattern engraving and is adorned with three galloping horses, another nod to the historic pocket watch.
La Esmeralda houses the Signature Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges, the caliber GP09600. With its discreet white gold micro-rotor, this movement allows for automatic winding and provides a power reserve of 50 hours.
