Filson has released a new video and this one features Seattle-based fly fisherman and fishing rod craftsman, Kerry Burkheimer. Mr. Burkheimer has spent decades fishing the mossy flats and meandering rivers of Washington, but these days he heads to the banks for more than a love of the sport as he looks to perfect it. He launched his own fly rod company, C.F. Burkheimer, sixteen years ago and has been building custom rods since. They’re made with California redwood burls and cork sculpted to fit a future caster’s hand. The video captures an early morning visit with Burkheimer to talk fishing and philosophy, creating this short documentary of a dedicated angler.
