Gullwing GmbH is bringing back the original 300 SL Gullwing with Arturo Alonso being the leading man. This Gullwing pays homage to the racing version of the 300SL that was produced in 1952.

Under the hood, the 215-hp V6 has been replaced with a 5.5L V8 that dishes out 408 horses. The engine is available with 7-speed automatic (7G-Tronic) for the V8 Gullwing and 6-speed manual for the V6. Steering-wheel mounted paddle-shifters are available as an option.

Pricing for the Gullwing starts at 165,000 euros ($220,440 USD). Gullwing said it has the capacity to produce 30 units annually but all units will be made when an individual places the order. Delivery time ranges from 10 to 18 months.
