Ahead of their official debuts during November’s LA Auto Show, BMW has unveiled the new 2016 BMW X5 M and X6 M. Both are entering their second generations and with that comes more aggressive design cues and increased power coming from the same 4.4L V8 M biturbo that was used the first time around. The new X5 M and X6 M dish out 567 horsepower and 553 lb/ft of torque as they catapult from 0 to 60 in 4.0 seconds with the help of the 8-speed steptronic automatic transmission. BMW’s also touting 20% better fuel consumption from the latest generations which is pretty impressive given the boost in performance. Both models are designed to perfection also. The standard BMW X5 and BMW X6 get upgraded to larger air intakes on the front while the side gills are fitted with a model badge and Air Breathers. Look for M four-tailpipe exhaust system on both while the BMW X6 M also gets a rear spoiler. All this comes together nicely with standard M-specific, forged 21-inch M light-alloy wheels. Head inside the cabin and you’ll see a solid blend of luxury and sport, the mark of a true M vehicle. The M instrument cluster, M leather steering wheel with aluminum gearshift paddles and M gearshift lever are fitted alongside M multi-function seats for the driver and front passenger, an M driver’s footrest and the optional Head-Up Display which, in addition to the standard information, also includes an M-specific display with gear indicator, rev band and shift lights. You can even opt for Merino full-leather trim throughout and choose from two new and exlusive paint finishes – Long Beach Blue Metallic and Donington Grey Metallic.

The 2016 BMW X5 M and X6 M will make their debut at the LA Auto Show on November 18th before hitting showrooms in early 2015. The X5 M is priced at $99,650 while the X6 M comes in at $103,050.
