Jaguar’s bringing the 2016 F-Type Coupe R to this month’s LA Auto Show, but not before unveiling a new All-wheel-drive variant this week in South Africa. Details are still coming in but the two door is said to be powered by a V8 engine that’ll dish out 550 horsepower and go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. Top speed will be limited to 186 mph while key features will include adaptive suspension, electronic active differential, and 15-inch brakes. This is the work of a technical partnership between Jaguar and Bloodhound SSC, as they aim to raise the world land speed record to above 1,000 mph. With AWD now in the mix, the Jaguar F-Type model range will grow from six to 12 versions come 2016. Look for complete details of the new 2016 model year F-TYPE model range to be announced at the 2014 Los Angeles International Auto Show on November 19.
