With DesignMiami/ and Art Basel kicking off this week in Miami, Bentley presents Bentley Elements, a new series of art and design projects conceived by creative directors Campbell-Rey. The first in the series is Light, an installment that pulls inspiration from the vehicle audit bays, the neon-lit inspection areas where all cars are inspected prior to leaving the factory in Crewe, England. Milan-based conceptual artist Massimo Uberti was brought on to interpret the brand’s vision, giving us a final work that dances on the intersection of man and machine. The shell of an industrial building in the artwork’s exterior shape is referenced here, while the trestle table within pays homage to the handwork and human touch that goes into making each and every Bentley. Bentley Elements’ Light is on display at Design Miami from December 1st to 4th.
