Earlier this year Ferrari debuted the 488 GTB, now the luxury automobile manufacturer is introducing the 488 Spider convertible. An upgrade from the 458 cabriolet, the new 488 has an increased rigidity of 23% thanks to a new aluminum spaceframe; this also allows the roof to be stowed in a mere 14 seconds. The 488 spider boasts a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 661 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. The roofless model speeds from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 203 mph. The 488 Spider will make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Until then, you can take a peek of the first images we have of the new Ferrari below.
