RM Sotheby’s Auctioning Off Three Nissan Skyline GT-R Variants at Monterey

RM Sotheby’s will hold an auction for three Nissan Skyline GT-R variants just as prices for the legendary Japanese sports car continue to rise.

The first of the trio is the 1994 Nissan Skyline GT-R JGTCC-GT1 by Hasemi Motorsport in original racing specification with a complete livery. It is an R33-based racer, which was undefeated for four seasons between 1990 and 1993. It was also the only R33 to win a Japanese 24-Hour endurance race. The GT-R comes with a still-functioning RB26DETT engine and Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission. It is pegged to cost up to $550,000.

Next is the more road-friendly R33 in a “Midnight Purple” colorway with gray interiors. It is powered by the iconic 2.6-liter twin-turbocharged RB26DETT inline six-cylinder engine, accumulating only 988 miles in its lifetime. It’s expected to fetch around $150,000 to $180,000.

Lastly, RM Sotheby’s will auction off an R32 from 1989 with the nickname “Godzilla.” It has an RB26 engine that churns out 280 HP and 260lb-ft of torque. Expect to spend $80,000 to $100,000 for this one.

More information on the three Nissan Skyline GT-Rs is available on RM Sotheby’s website. The auction will be on August 18th-20th during Monterey Car Week.
