Just yesterday, YouTube announced YouTube Red, its paid ad-free subscription service. For only US$9.99 a month, users can now watch YouTube videos without ads, keep videos and music playing in the background while switching apps, and even watch videos offline. YouTube Red will replace Google Music Key, and subscribers will also get Google Play (and vice-versa).
YouTube Red will be launch in the U.S. on October 28, 2015, along with a new YouTube Music app, dedicated to music-related video streaming. For updates, check out the YouTube official blog here.
