‘Weaving Shibusa’ Shows How the Best Japanese Denim Is Made

Japan is famous for producing the world’s best denim. The new documentary Weaving Shibusa gives a glimpse inside the work of Japanese artisans who artfully craft quality denim for the fashion industry. Director Devin Leisher traveled around Japan documenting denim production and interviewing creators of popular denim companies such as The Flat Head, Fullcount, Japan Blue, Rampuya and Iron Heart, resulting in a captivating and highly original film.
