NikeLab Will Open Its First Japanese Flagship Location

In 2014, Nike introduced their offshoot imprint NikeLab, created to “provide consumers with unique expressions of Nike’s leading innovations within an experience that bridges physical retail, online commerce, and digital engagement.” Having already opened flagship locations in the major cities of New York, London, Paris, Milan, Shanghai and Hong Kong, it appears as though Nike will be also opening up a seventh location in Tokyo, Japan. Though Japan’s Dover Street Market housed a dedicated space for NikeLab, Japanese consumers will finally have a standalone shop to purchase the goods from. NikeLab MA5 is set to open its doors by December 1st, and will occupy the old “the POOL aoyama” space.
