New Balance M997 Sneakers Get Red Wing Leather In Latest Rework

New Balance and Red Wing Shoes have partnered up for an elevated iteration of the M997 sneaker using Red Wing leather.

New Balance and Red Wing Shoes have partnered up for an elevated iteration of the M997 sneaker. The iconic silhouette features a premium dark brown leather upper leverages Red Wing leather in place of New Balance’s standard mix of materials. The tonal palette of browns, creams and red make this latest M997 finish perfect for the fall months while the attention to detail is everything we’ve come to expect from New Balance’s Made in USA offerings. The leather’s complemented with soft suede throughout, with the mid-panel and “N” emblem getting a heavier touch while the toe box and heel sections are a bit smoother. The leather’s seen around the eyestay and heel support as well as the tongue where you see New Balance branding alongside the “MADE IN USA” stamp. Other details include the tan leather lining, red heel counter, branding on the heel tab, and Red Wing-branded insoles. Off-white midsole and red-hued gum outsole round out the upper.

Check out more of the New Balance x Red Wing M997 in the gallery above and look for it to drop on September 6th through select boutiques including Sneakersnstuff.
