Parley Develops Sustainable adidas ZX8000 Archival Runners

Parley for the Oceans has partnered with adidas to create a new ZX8000 using sustainable materials to lessen plastic pollution. It is one of the primary brands leading the sustainability initiatives for adidas.

To achieve this, Parley for the Oceans has created a high-performance yarn that utilizes recycled fishing nets, ORTHOLITE, and ocean plastics sourced from the Dominican Republic. It’s presented in cream, white, sail, and black hues.

The reimagined adidas ZX 8000 combines the 100% ocean plastic from gill nets for its grooved eyestay webbing and soft recycled ORTHOLITE for the sock liner. Its quarter webbing and stripes sport the intercepted plastics. The footwear sits on cork insoles with cream-toned Torsion soles.

The sustainable ZX8000 design is priced at $160 and available through the adidas website and select retailers now.
