Audemars Piguet Partners with Carolina Bucci for Multi-colored 34mm Royal Oak in Black Ceramic

Audemars Piguet and Carolina Bucci announce a limited edition 34mm Royal Oak Selfwinding timepiece in black ceramic to commemorate Royal Oak’s fiftieth anniversary. The timepiece pays tribute to the iconic Tapisserie design through the dial with a unique multi-colored mirror effect.

This is Bucci’s third collaboration with the Manufacture, leaving behind her Frosted Gold technique to an all-black ceramic piece with a Tapisserie-effect multi-colored spectrum. She said she “wanted to place a rainbow in the most unexpected of places.” To reach this, they used a sapphire plate adorned with microstructured little squares that create rainbow-colored plays of light. The design is complemented with a golden metallization on the back of the plate to create iridescent color patterns that vary from dial to dial.

Looking into the details, the black ceramic case and bracelet have hexagonal pink gold screws for contrast and are finished with the Audemars Piguet’s signature satin-finishing for maximum play on light. Its case back is engraved with “Limited Edition Carolina Bucci” and the dial showcases an engraved long-form signature instead of the AP monogram.

The timepiece is powered by the Calibre 5800 with a 50-hour power reserve. It is designed for men and women and is water-resistant to 50 m.

Limited to 300 pieces, the Royal Oak Selfwinding 34mm in black ceramic is presented in a box created by Bucci. Get yours now exclusively from Audemars Piguet boutiques and AP Houses.
