Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked was first unveiled in 2022 for the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary. For this year’s Only Watch auction, the Swiss watchmaker has the event-exclusive white ceramic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked Only Watch Edition, reference 26735CB.OO.1225CB.99, up for sale.
Each component of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked Only Watch Edition comes with Haute Horlogerie finishings like ‘traits tirés,’ circular and sunray brushing, snailing, as well as polished chamfers. It also features a white ceramic case, openworked blue movement, white gold applied hour-markers, white gold Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating, blue inner bezel, white ceramic caseback fitted with a glare-proof sapphire crystal, crew-locked crown, a matching white ceramic bracelet fastened with an AP folding clasp in blackened stainless steel, and water-resistance of up to 50 meters.
Powering the Only Watch 2023 exclusive is Audemars Piguet’s Selfwinding Manufacture Caliber 2972. It has 27 jewels, 271 parts, a 22K gold oscillating weight colored in blue and rhodium tones, and a 65-hour power reserve.
