AURALEE, the Japanese fashion label, revealed its Spring/Summer 2024 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Known for high-quality fabrications, the brand’s season collection uses subtle detailing to explore self-expression.
The SS24 collection makes use of quality fabrics across the pieces, an array composed of textured dry cotton, delicate organza, summer-weight wool mohair, mélange-colored wool poplin, homespun mesh tweed, nylon taffeta, linen and silk. Texture plays a significant part in the collection, with intentionally wrinkled pieces, smooth finishes, and translucent sheens giving the collection depth. The collection opts for a more muted palette with whites, beige, pale greens, and blues, with blacks and bright hits of reds, turquoise, and greens.
Highlight pieces in the collection include silk-lined coats, reversible crisp wool mohair slacks worn inside-out, organic cotton tanks tops, mohair wool net dresses, two-toned organza and silk trench coats, and bomber jackets, nylon anoraks, quilted lightweight knitwear, and sheer organza ensembles. Completing the runway looks are an assortment of lightweight mesh bags and cycling-inspired saddlebags.
