Sony Celebrates 30 Years Of PlayStation With Limited-Edition Anniversary Collection

Sony’s recent reveal of the PlayStation 5 Pro set the gaming world abuzz with its promise to take the gaming experience to an entirely new level. However, they’re not just stopping there. To mark 30 years of PlayStation, Sony has just unveiled a limited edition collection titled ‘PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection.’

The collection includes the PlayStation 5 Pro in shades of grey to honor the original PlayStation color from 1994. A digital version of the PS5 Pro console is also available with a grey Console Cover for users who want to upgrade to a disc version. Several limited edition accessories in the same retro grey color are also included in the bundle, such as a DualSense wireless controller, a DualSense Edge wireless controller, and a DualSense Charging Station.

A Vertical Stand and special collector’s items, including a limited edition poster, four PlayStation face button-shaped cable ties, and an original PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing, are also part of the bundle. Only 12,300 units of the Pro bundle will be released, with the console bearing limited edition numbers, adding to the exclusivity of this special edition.

Gamers also have the option to purchase a non-Pro anniversary edition PlayStation 5 bundle that includes all the same items as the Pro bundle with only one controller and a regular DualSense controller. Additionally, Sony is releasing a PlayStation Portal Remote Player in the anniversary colors.

The anniversary edition will be released on November 21st. Prices have not been released yet; however, pre-orders kick off on September 26th for the PlayStation 5 Pro Console bundle, PlayStation Portal Remote Player, and DualSense Edge Wireless Controller. Preorders for the Digital Edition and the regular DualSense controller open on October 10th. This highly exclusive collection will sell out quickly, so be ready to grab yours before they’re gone.
