Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveiled the Ghost Series II, a powerful, driver-oriented, and sophisticated rendition of its most popular model. The new model receives a subtly refined external appearance and new interior finishes while preserving its renowned dynamic performance.
The Ghost Series II design incorporates Rolls-Royce’s monolithic philosophy. It features a clean front end highlighting the illuminated Rolls-Royce Pantheon grille with chrome accents on the lower portion. Updated headlights and daytime running light graphics are also present, adding a modern touch. In the rearview, the vehicle showcases a new tail lamp configuration inspired by Spectre. Clients can choose from fully polished or partly polished 22-inch, 9-spoke wheels.
A standout addition is the introduction of a new exterior color named Mustique Blue, a new addition to Rolls-Royce’s extensive palette of over 44,000 available colors. This metallic color is inspired by the tropical hues of the Caribbean Island it is named after. Additionally, the color references the blue hue featured on the 1929 Phantom II Continental prototype.
The interior of the Ghost Series II features the Central Information Display housed in a new pillar-to-pillar glass panel. The Display incorporates the company’s SPIRIT operating system, which enables clients to extend their Bespoke commissions into the digital realm by tailoring the color of the digital instrument dials. SPIRIT also integrates Whispers, the Rolls-Royce private members application. Alongside the Central Information Display is the new Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet that houses an analog timepiece and a Spirit of Ecstasy figurine.
The Ghost Cabin has an 18-speaker audio system with an upgraded 1400-watt amplifier for the ultimate audio experience. Bespoke Audio adds two ‘speakerless’ exciters that turn the entire roof into an overhead sound stage, which takes the sound experience to the next level. The Ghost Series II also receives upgraded entertainment and connectivity functions, including independent streaming capabilities for rear-seat passengers, support for Bluetooth headphones, an upgraded Wi-Fi hotspot, and USB-C charging ports.
The interior features a new Grey-Stained Ash material that complements the design enhancements. Additionally, it incorporates the innovative Duality Twill textile, a new rayon fabric made from bamboo. The base twill textile is offered in Lilac, Chocolate, and Black colors, while the thread is available in 51 hues, allowing clients to customize the design according to their preference. Alternatively, clients may opt for Placed Perforation, a technique that creates intricate three-dimensional artwork on the leather seats.
The Ghost Series II is powered by a potent 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine paired with an eight-speed gearbox. The all-wheel drivetrain delivers maximum torque from just 1,600rpm, providing the distinct ‘waftability’ that Rolls-Royce is known for. The Planar Suspension System features an Upper Wishbone Damper unit above the front suspension assembly, ensuring an exceptionally smooth ride.
Clients can also commission the Ghost Extended Series II, which offers 6.69 inches more space in the rear suite while retaining the motor car’s elegant silhouette. Serenity Seating is also available for the Extended Series, which provides a reclining seating experience similar to a private aircraft cabin. A champagne cooler that operates in two temperature modes can also be added, providing the optimum temperature for vintage and non-vintage champagne.
The Ghost Series II combines luxury, performance, and advanced technology. The vehicle’s incredible experience is taken even further with Bespoke options, allowing clients to tailor the car according to their preferences. Pricing for this luxury vehicle starts at $355,000. It is available for order through Rolls-Royce Motor Cars NA authorized dealers. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
