Jaguar Land Rover Exhibits Queen Elizabeth II’s Royal Vehicles At Rockefeller Center

Jaguar Land Rover is exhibiting a collection of Royal Land Rover vehicles to celebrate its British heritage and honor Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This exhibit follows the vehicles’ U.S. debut at the prestigious 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August.

The display of 10 Royal vehicles started on October 17th and will continue through October 20th on the Plaza at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Each vehicle in the collection is closely tied to the Royal Family, which has played a role in official duties or life on the Royal estates.

The display includes the first Land Rover Series I State Review vehicle, featuring a custom‑designed rear platform, which accompanied HM Queen Elizabeth II and HM The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, on a six‑month tour of the Commonwealth. Another 1954 Land Rover Series I, originally commissioned by HM King George VI, is also part of the collection.

The display also includes the 1958 Land Rover Series II State Review vehicle, featuring blue side light lenses that signaled the presence of a Royal Passenger; the 1966 Land Rover Series IIa Station Wagon, driven by HM Queen Elizabeth II, which was the first Station Wagon of its kind equipped with a six‑cylinder engine along with other customizations for Royal duties; and the 1974 Range Rover State Review vehicle, which was the first Range Rover to serve in a ceremonial role, equipped with custom foldaway seats and a lectern with concealed umbrellas.

The collection extends to the 1990 Range Rover State Review vehicle, which was featured in the 1994 Christmas card of HM Queen Elizabeth II; the 1983 Defender 110 V8, featuring a dark green finish, which was used on Crown estates Sandringham and Balmoral; the 1996 Range Rover P38 State 1 Royal Review, featuring the Royal Claret color, hand-painted crests, and the royal crown topped by a golden crowned lion; the 2005 Range Rover L322 State Review, which was famously used during Queen Elizabeth II’s ninetieth birthday parade; and lastly the 2009 Range Rover, a favorite of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

JLR has maintained a long-standing and cherished association with the Royal Family. The company proudly displays the Royal Warrant, highlighting its recognition as an official supplier of vehicles to the Royal Family. Following its stop at Rockefeller Center, the exhibit will continue to other notable destinations across the U.S. This exhibit offers visitors a rare opportunity to see the vehicles that have served the Royal Family for decades.
