Mercedes-AMG has finally revealed the PureSpeed, an open-top sports car that was first teased as a concept in the Summer. It made its world premiere at the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and debuts as part of the Mythos series.
The PureSpeed celebrates Mercedes-Benz’s rich motorsport legacy with its exceptional performance and striking design. Its sleek profile, extended hood, and shark-nosed front evoke the spirit of the Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar, while functional details like carbon fiber deflectors and rear diffusers optimize aerodynamics. A HALO safety system, adapted from Formula 1, replaces the A-pillar for a futuristic touch.
Beneath PureSpeed’s sleek exterior lies a 4.0L V8 biturbo engine delivering 585 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with AMG’s SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission and 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the car sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds.
The interior features a two-tone crystal white and black cabin with AMG Performance seats, a Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System, and a custom IWC Schaffhausen analog clock. For high-speed adventures, exclusive helmets with built-in intercom systems ensure clear communication.
Only 250 units of the PureSpeed will be released. Inquiries on pricing and availability can be made through official Mercedes-AMG channels. For further details, visit the brand’s website.
