To celebrate their 15th anniversary, the Red Bull Music Academy has released For The Record, a new coffee table book that features a collection of conversations between 36 of music’s biggest contributors. The list of artists spreads across various genres and generations and ranges from Erykah Badu and Nile Rodgers to Sly & Robbie and Jamaican visionary Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry. The book delves into some of the most relevant topics in music today, each one visually interpreted with stunning original designs by Chris Rehberger’s Double Standards agency.

For The Record is available now in specialty bookstores and music shops nationwide as well the Gestalten online shop.

J.Lindeberg’s Biannual book, The Documentary and A Dream, has released for Fall/Winter 2011, this time highlighting some notable individuals in their own right. Among them is Patrick Grant, the Creative Director at British label E. Tautz and proprietor of bespoke Savile Row tailors Norton & Sons. ‘The making of the Documentary and A Dream is always a process in which we search to improve, refine and develop,’ says global brand director Stefan Engström. There are some impressive collaborators that came in to work with creative director Jörgen Ringstrand, including David St John-James and Robby Spencer. The limited edition book is available to view in stores.

Though we reported on the release of LV’s Architecture and Interiors book a short while back, here’s a video from the Italian fashion house giving us a peek at what to expect. Rizzoli and Ediitons de La Martinière are set to publish the book on October 1 in two versions including a standard edition with pricing to start at $85 USD and a limited edition version with three monogrammed fabric slipcases that will run you about $130 USD.

The original is embedded in our generation’s subculture and will be seen as one of the largest influencers of Japanese youth in the 60’s and 70’s. Take 8 Ivy is a collection of photographs taken between 1965-1985 at all eight Ivy schools — Harvard University, Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Columbia University, Brown University, Dartmouth College and Cornell University.
