Guys wondering if dark suede shoes are still in style this summer need look no further than Oak Street Bootmakers. The Chicago-based shoe company has introduced its Rowing Oxford in a choice of black or navy blue suede. The Oxford comes with the usual high-quality construction and attention to detail Oak Street Bootmakers is known for, with waterproof suede, waxed stitching and rawhide laces that give the shoe a classic look. The Vibram sole offers plenty of cushioning, while its grip-ready tread makes it suitable for cruising the streets or out on the water. As a bonus, it looks good with jeans, khakis or shorts. Expect to see this shoe at your next Memorial Day or Fourth of July dockside bash.

The craftsmen at Oak Street Bootmakers have been constructing shoes and boots for decades, so they know what they’re doing. Founder George Viagos was the son of a cobbler and learned the trade while apprenticing at his father’s shop. And while the company handcrafts its shoes using techniques that have been around for a century, its designs are anything but stodgy.

The Rowing Oxford and other products can be found at Oak Street Bootmaker’s website.
