Apple Says ‘If It’s Not an iPhone, It’s Not an iPhone’ in New Ad Campaign


In the ongoing battle between Apple and Android, Apple has been criticized about keeping its software closed to third parties, whereas Android encourages hardware manufacturers to create different versions of the software to work better for different phones and consumers.  Apple has come back and given a short reason why they do things the way they do.

The iPhone manufacturer is one of the few manufacturers that develop both their hardware and software, and according to them this is why the iPhone works so well. The hardware and software for Apple are made to work together as best as possible so that the products remain of the highest standard and integrity.  Apple has generally stayed away from competitive advertising and even now, their new ad only simply (but cheekily) hints that although other smartphones may come close, they are not iPhones.
