Academy Award-winning director Cary Fukunaga (who brought us True Detective) is presenting a new war drama called ‘Beasts of No Nation’. Based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Uzodinma Iweala, the film follows a West African boy named Agu who is forced to join a group of mercenaries after militants kill his father. The film was shot in Eastern Ghana. Written by Fukunaga, the tense drama stars Abraham Attah as Agu, Idris Elba as Commandant, Ama K. Abebrese as Mother, and Opeyemi Fagbohungbe as Sergeant Gaz. Beasts of No Nation be released on Netflix and select theaters on the 16th of October.
