Louis Vuitton’s Virgil Abloh and Humanmade’s NIGO have collaborated for LV², a Pre-Fall 2020 menswear collection filled with plenty of NIGO’s influence. Denim, tailoring, and workwear get reworked to both Virgil and NIGO’s liking, giving us chore coats and pants with patchwork-inspired stitching alongside Louis Vuitton’s Damier pattern. Things go further as LV²’s blazers and square-patterned suits are cut slim and accented by fringed scarves and skinny Damier ties. Tyrolean shoes, hiking boots, backpacks, duffels, shoulder bags and totes round out the offerings, some with a layered “drip” effect, inspired by the logo NIGO envisioned for ICECREAM.
