Palm Angels travels to Florida for its Spring/Summer 2023 offering. The luxury and streetwear fusion brand’s creative director Francesco Ragazzi presented a Florida-inspired made-in-Italy ready-to-wear collection titled “Welcome to Miami.”
Ragazzi plays around with angular Memphis shapes, minimalist oversized Italian tailoring, rendered workwear, and pastel colors in the collection. It showcases pieces like palm tree and shark print trousers under trench coats, retro Hawaiian-style shirts, Shark print pants, 80’s font print jersey dresses, pastel-palm totes, terry hoodies, fine-strapped jelly shoes, and saturated pink, palm-tree-covered shirts. We can also see complete looks with a blue-beige argyle vest over a short-sleeved, shark-embossed button-down.
The collection also features pieces inspired by and in collaboration with Getty Images. On several coats, long-sleeve tops and bags, Getty’s signature gray watermarked vintage photographs of Miami imagery like cash, a terrified face, and a stars-and-stripes muscle boat are prominent design elements.
