Porsche Design Chronograph 1 | GP 2023 Edition Revs Up for GP Ice Race

Porsche Design is launching the Chronograph 1 – GP 2023 Edition, the limited special edition timepiece created to mark the GP Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria. The event will take place for the fourth time in a newly designed format at the end of January 2023.

The timepiece comes with two strap variants and sports an uncoated 40.8mm diameter matte titanium case with a 14.5mm height. It features a black crown, chronograph pushers, lugs, and a dial, contrasting with white fluorescent markers. It sports a 60-min scale with numerals and dots indicators set at 5-min intervals, a red chronograph central hand and sub-counters hands at 12 and 6 o’clock, a seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock, and a day-date display.

A vintage Porsche Design logo is affixed on top of the aperture, crown, clasp, and back of the case. A seven-fold, anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a hard coating protects the dial. The solid case back has engraved Porsche Design inscriptions and the GP logo.

Driving the New Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – GP 2023 Limited Edition is the 25 jewel in-house caliber WERK 01.240, a derivative of the 7750 movement with a flyback function and COSC certification. It has a 4Hz frequency and a 38-hour power reserve.

The Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – GP 2023 Edition, reference WAP0710110P0GP, is limited to 250 production pieces at around $9,650 each. The watch comes in a black box and a laser-engraved acrylic plaque. Pre-orders are now available in-store and online via Porsche Design’s website.
