Moncler Genius FW23 Collaborations Closes Out London Fashion Week with a Bang

Moncler introduced Genius, the brand’s co-creation platform, during The Art of Genius event held at the Olympia venue on the last day of London Fashion Week. The project aims to connect art, design, music, sport, and culture by exploring new methods for creative collaboration.

Moncler Genius’ The Art of Genius brought together personalities and artists and offered them the chance to interpret Genius for their Fall/Winter 2023 season. Guests were able to experience their creativity in different ways, from a workshop in a recording studio with technical support from record producers to performances, and an immersive experience in life-like worlds through virtual tours.

Aside from the entertainment, the event also allowed Moncler Genius to showcase their upcoming FW23 collaborations with adidas Originals, Pharrell Williams, fragment design, Palm Angels, Salehe Bembury, Alicia Keys, and Roc Nation by Jay-Z.

The event began with the Moncler x adidas Originals ‘Art of Exploration’ collection. The collaboration channeled outdoor exploration with Moncler’s trademark down silhouettes with the iconic adidas Trefoil and 3-Stripe design in an array of bold colors and prints on textile windbreakers, track tops, insulated shorts, pants, gloves, anoraks, and headgear.

The outdoor performance for the Moncler x Pharrell Williams ‘The Art of Terrain’ capsule collection featured clothing inspired by ‘glam’ camping, the outdoors, and nature. Pieces featured zippers, hiking clasps, and padded vests that also function as backpacks.

The Moncler x fragment design ‘The Art of Love’ collection featured Hiroshi Fujiwara’s billowing coats with geometrical detailing, fuzzy hood liners, neoprene-esque padded leather sleeve construction, and leg warmers.

For the Moncler x Palm Angels ‘Art of Lightness’ collaboration, puffers with ribbed indentations and dangling shoulder badges come in pastel tones, accents including Palm Angels branding, zippered tops, shirting, and leather utility pants.

Natural forms in ‘Art of Elements’ were evoked in the Moncler x Salehe Bembury collaboration, which featured scoring patterns and curving organic shapes.

The Moncler x Alicia Keys ‘Art of Dreaming’ collection featured a performance by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and entrepreneur Alicia Keys, who performed on the piano, accompanied by Cleo Sol and Little Simz. This also showcased the artist’s collaborative effort with Genius in a sequined crop top and metallic athletic gear. Other pieces include outerwear with matching bottoms, accessories, embellished bucket hats with metallic detailing, and co-branding in purple.

Finally, the Moncler x Roc Nation by Jay-Z ‘Art of All’ capsule featured ski-ready apparel in color-blocked designs, a cropped fit, oversized hoods, Jackets with creased sections and curved stitching, and balaclava-like ski masks with a padded organic design.

Check out the different collaborative projects in the lookbook. Each collaboration is set to launch later in the year, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.
