Wood Wood SS23 Looks to Venice for Inspiration

Wood Wood’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection just dropped recently. The Copanhagen-based fashion and lifestyle brand continues its foray into abstractions and functional wearability with this season’s collection entitled ‘Escape to Paradise.’

The collection is inspired in general by artistic communities who see bodies of water as a space for quietude and creative introspection, and in particular by the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni in Venice. A place where art collector Peggy Guggenheim provided patronage and a space for some of the 20th century’s Abstract Expressionists.

Transposing the feel of the place to present sensibilities, the collection expands on workwear with reinterpretations of carpenter pants, painter’s shirts, bohemian loungewear, tech suits, structured jackets, knitwear, and tracksuits. Highlight pieces include a poplin stripe shirt, a calf hair leather jacket and trousers pair, a ripstop shirt and trousers set in a camo pattern, a Cecil trompe l’oeil coat, and Rodney track pants with engineered stripe panel in shades of earthy green.

The Wood Wood Spring/Summer 2023 collection is available now from woodwood.com.
