Tudor reveals two new Pelagos FXD models to celebrate its partnership with Alinghi Red Bull Racing, an America’s Cup yacht racing team. The new Tudor Pelagos FXD and Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono are the newest additions to the Swiss watchmaker’s catalog.
Both the 42mm Tudor Pelagos FXD and 43mm Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono come in carbon composite cases, bi-directional 120-notch titanium bezels set with carbon insets, and Swiss Super-LumiNova grade X1, the team’s name printed on the flange ring between 10 and 2 o’clock, 60-minute countdown scales, matte blue dials with red accents, Super-LumiNova hour markers, flat sapphire crystal, a stainless-steel case back engraved with the Alinghi Red Bull Racing team insignia, and affixed with 22mm “Team Blue” ribbon straps with red accents and a titanium D-buckle with a self-gripping fastening system. Both watches come with a 200m water resistance.
The 42mm Tudor Pelagos FXD runs on the Manufacture Caliber MT5602, while the 43mm Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono runs on the Manufacture Caliber MT5813 derived from the Breitling B01 with chronometer functions. Both COSC-certified self-winding mechanical movements feature a bidirectional rotor system, a titanium crown adorned with the TUDOR shield in relief, and a 70-hour power reserve.
