Bentley ‘Belonging Bentayga’ Celebrates Diversity and Inclusion with Art by Stephen Wiltshire

As part of its Beyond100 goal, Bentley Motors unveiled the ‘Belonging Bentayga’ art car created to celebrate inclusivity and diversity. This is the third art car revealed by Bentley to mark its commitment to diversity, following the Unflying Spur in 2021 and the rainbow-inspired Continental GT Convertible in 2020.

The ‘Belonging Bentayga’ is a one-of-a-kind hand-painted Alpine Green Bentayga Hybrid that features art by Stephen Wiltshire MBE, the British architectural artist and savant known for his remarkable ability to draw a landscape after seeing it briefly. The design features 29 different landmarks and skylines, including New York, London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Venice, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. The amazing cityscapes include people from all over the world. Each side of the SUV represents a different continent, and all are drawn from memory.

The ‘Belonging Bentayga’ represents the first time a Bentley was hand-painted in this way, thanks to a unique process developed by the Bentley Excellence Centre Bespoke Paint team. The collaboration highlights Bentely’s craftsmanship and Stephen’s artistic genius and puts Bentley’s five-step diversity and inclusion plan into the spotlight.

Stephen Wiltshire, diagnosed with autism at age three and mute as a child, says his art was always about existing and connecting. The people around the young savant learned that, rather than using words, Stephen communicated through his art. Starting with animals, he went on to bigger things like buses, buildings, and cityscapes.
