Zenith And Hodinkee Unveil Limited-Edition Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar

Zenith and Hodinkee unveiled their latest co-creation, a Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition Timepiece, a stunning blend of heritage and modernity. It is equipped with the incredibly accurate El Primero Caliber 3610 triple calendar movement, which honors the legacy of a rare El Primero from 1970 and the incredible accuracy of the Chronomaster Original. It also features three subdials, crafted from a 4.5 billion-year-old Gibeon meteorite, making it exceptional.

The Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition For Hodinkee offers a timeless yet modern silhouette. Crafted from stainless steel, the case measures 38mm in diameter and 14mm in thickness. Its black dial is elegantly framed by a raised sapphire crystal reminiscent of acrylic crystals found on vintage El Primeros.

Zenith’s El Primero Caliber 3610, released in early 2024, offers modern technical enhancements for smooth running and reliability. Its triple calendar, also known as a complete calendar, is a simple full-calendar movement but with the addition of a moonphase. It offers a straightforward yet elegant way to track the day, date, month, and current phase of the moon. In addition, the movement maintains Zenith’s signature 1/10th of a second chronograph, which performs a full sweep on the dial every 10 seconds. Despite its high complexity, it offers an impressive 60 hours of power reserve.

Even with its triple-calendar functionality, the watch maintains its sleek appearance. This was achieved through the strategic placement of the day and month indicators above two of the chronograph subdials, with the color-matched date subtly positioned at the four-thirty mark.

This special edition features a black moonphase disc and monochromatic rhodium-plated indices, differentiating it from the current collection’s blue disc and gold-plated indices. The chronograph is now white instead of gold plated for a more modern look. The addition of the triple calendar and moonphase complications make this the most comprehensive collaboration between Zenith and Hodinkee so far.

The Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition For Hodinkee is $13,500. Only 200 examples were produced, and 75 are available in the Hodinkee Shop.
