Rolls-Royce Reveals New Black Badge Ghost Series II

Rolls-Royce introduces a daring new iteration of its most powerful and agile Black Badge Ghost model with the release of the Series II. The driver-focused car builds on the overwhelming success of its predecessor with a redesigned, impactful exterior and luxurious interior that reflects the desires of discerning clients.

The Black Badge Ghost Series II’s exterior stands out with its lower grille. For the first time, the Black Ghost’s Pantheon Grille features new lower brake air intake geometry, including two darkened chrome strips surrounded by technical black chrome frames. The grille retains the Black Badge signature black chrome treatment, extended to the Spirit of Ecstasy, Pantheon Grille, and side-mounted ‘Badge of Honour.’ The noir effect is featured on the door handles for the first time, enhancing the car’s captivating aesthetic.

The exterior receives an even more dramatic statement with its 22-inch part-polished, seven-spoke forged wheelset. These wheels are designed to reflect the mechanical complexity of the potent V12 engine and advanced chassis while enabling a clear view of the powerful disc brakes.

The Black Badge Ghost Series II interior features dark and technical surfaces, which are distinctive of Black Badge models. The new Clock Cabinet houses an analog timepiece and a black chrome Spirit of Ecstasy figurine. This elegant display complements the upgraded Central Information Display, powered by the new advanced SPIRIT operating system.

A Technical Carbon surface finish crafted with a unique diamond-patterned weave is incorporated throughout the interior and below the glass fascia. The interior is further enhanced with darkened metals made using an advanced physical vapor deposition technique. This process prevents tarnishing, ensuring the luxurious interior maintains its pristine appearance over time.

Black Badge clients can also explore new interior materials like the Duality Twill textile, an innovative rayon fabric made from bamboo inspired by the bamboo groves in Le Jardin des Méditerranées on the Côte d’Azur. This material is available in 51 colors, enabling Black Badge clients to create a unique interior by combining contrast color schemes.

Additionally, clients can select Placed Perforation, a technique that creates intricate designs in the seat leather.

The Black Badge Ghost Series II has a high-powered V12 engine that produces 29 more horsepower and 37 more lb-ft of torque than the Ghost Series II. This additional power is harnessed using the Black Badge Planar Suspension system, equipped with a unique Upper Wishbone Damper unit above the front suspension assembly. The system works with continuously variable, electronically controlled shock absorbers and self-leveling air struts to produce an even more refined expression of the company’s signature ‘ magic carpet ride.’

Black Badge Ghost Series II represents the ultimate combination of uncompromising V12 power, advanced chassis systems, and Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke capabilities. It is available for order through Rolls-Royce Motor Cars NA authorized dealer, with an MSRP starting at $420,0000. For more information, visit the brand’s website.
