De Bethune Reveals Its Latest Traveler Timepiece | The DB25GMT Starry Varius In Rose Gold
De Bethune revealed its latest timepiece, the DB25 Starry Varius in rose gold, featuring its 29th in-house caliber. It is an extraordinary travel watch that combines traditional expertise with innovation for discerning globetrotters.
The DB25 Starry Varius is the successor to the DB25 World Traveller, which was introduced in 2016. It offers a thoughtful way for the wearer to stay connected with their loved ones across different time zones. Incorporating all the hallmarks of the DB25 Starry Varius collection, the latest timepiece boasts a polished grade 5 titanium case with a 42 mm diameter.
The remarkable dial features a captivating starry sky complemented by the Milky Way at its center. A polished gold sun shines over half of the dial, while the opposite side includes the celestial vault outlined on polished titanium. The dial features several discs. Starting from the center, the first disc includes a jumping date hand that indicates the date. Surrounding the date disc is a dual-colored microsphere that appears to float effortlessly in its corridor to mark the hours of the first 24-hour time zone or reference time.
The two sides of the microsphere, one-half blue and the other pink, also showcase the day and night of the reference time by gradually turning at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. to mimic sunrise and sunset. The blued hours and minutes hand indicate the second timezone or local time. Both the local and reference time can be set by the crown. The timepiece GMT function is remarkably user-friendly despite its complicated construction.
The DB25 Starry Varius conceals a mechanical treasure inside, the hand-wound Caliber DB2507. The movement’s reverse side reveals an advanced titanium balance with white gold inlays, which can be seen through the sapphire case back. Thanks to a self-regulating energy mechanism, this caliber provides a five-day power reserve.
This De Bethune creation not only meets the expectations of modern travelers but also exudes a classic yet avant-garde spirit. It’s more than just a watch, it’s an invitation to explore the world. For more details and inquiries on pricing and availability, visit De Bethune’s website.
