Tesla has introduced the new Tesla Model S 70D with four-wheel drive. The full-sized luxury vehicle has a 240 mile range at 65 miles per hour and is almost as fast as your modern-day sportscar, accelerating from 0 to 60 miles in 5.2 seconds. The car also includes supercharging which enables blind spot detection, navigation, autopilot hardware and long-distance travel. In line with Model S tradition, the new 70D will also receive free over-the-air updates which will add functionality and improve the driving experience over the years.
The Model S 70D is available in three colors: Warm Silver, Obsidian Black and Ocean Blue. It is available for order at a starting price of $75,000. When factors such as fuel savings and incentives are taken into consideration due to the car’s advantage over an internal combustion engine vehicle, the new Model S’s cost comes to around $55,000 over five years of driving.
Since the release of the first Model S in 2009 the range has proven popular with increased driving range, efficiency and performance. With continual upgrades and a growing popularity of electric vehicles, the Model S range is being favored by environmentally-conscious buyers of luxury vehicles. If you’re thinking of switching from fuel to electricity for your next car purchase or want to upgrade your existing electric vehicle, this is a car you may want to look at.
