Apple and Beats Unveil Performance-focused Wireless Powerbeats Pro

If the thought of dropping your AirPods while working has you a bit worried, Apple and Beats have officially unveiled the wireless Powerbeats Pro earphones. The new design comes with more battery life alongside advanced functionality and reliable connectivity alongside the Powerbeats’ signature earhook design. The biggest win comes in the form of “Hey, Siri” functionality, thanks to integration of the same Apple H1 chip found inside the new AirPods. Sound quality’s leveled up here thanks to an upgraded linear piston driver while the earphones are also 23 percent smaller and 17 percent lighter than its predecessor. The latest Powerbeats Pro’s are also more sweat and water resistant than ever before.

Each earbud’s got identical controls so you can have full control over phone calls, volume, and whatever you’re listening to. Long and short-range optical sensors activate when the earphones are taken out of the user’s ears. Fast Fuel charging gets you 1.5 hours of playback after just five minutes of charging while 4.5 hours can be had in fifteen minutes.

The wireless Powerbeats Pro earphones will come in four color options — Black, Ivory, Moss and Navy — when they drop in May on Apple.com and shops nationwide. Price is set at $249.95 USD per pair with other countries and regions getting them over the Summer and Fall.
