Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Celebrates 60 Years With Glass Caseback At Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023

To mark the 60th anniversary of the iconic Cosmograph Daytona, Rolex went big by creating watches for the entire range. The new 2023 Rolex Daytona Watches get a high-precision case, face, and movement adjustments and reworks that are in line with the Geneva-based watchmaker’s goal of ensuring that the legendary watch continues to evolve and grow.

The new 2023 Rolex Daytona Watch lineup includes the following:

Ref. 126500LN, priced at $15,100, is made from Oystersteel and comes with white or black dial options, a black Cerachrom Bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, and an Oyster Bracelet.

Ref. 126503, priced at $19,500, has a Yellow Rolesor construction, white, gold, or black dial options, an 18k Yellow Gold Bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, and an Oyster Bracelet.

Ref. 126508, priced at $39,500, is made from 18k Yellow Gold, multiple dial options including a bright black with a golden set with diamonds, an 18k Yellow Gold Bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, and an Oyster Bracelet.

Ref. 126518LN, priced at $30,600, comes in an 18k Yellow Gold construction and features a black Cerachrom Bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, several dial options, and an Oysterflex Bracelet.

Ref. 126509, priced at $42,500, comes in 18k White Gold, with an 18k White Gold Bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, several dial options, and an Oyster Bracelet.

Ref. 126519LN, priced at $32,100, is made from 18k White Gold, and has a black Cerachrom Bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, steel or bright black dial option, and affixed with an Oysterflex Bracelet.

Ref. 126505, priced at $44,500, comes in 18k Everose Gold and features an 18k Everose Gold Bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, several dial options that include a bright black and Sundust, diamond-set dial, and an Oyster Bracelet.

Ref. 126515LN, priced at $32,000, has an 18k Everose Gold construction, dial options that includes a bright black and Sundust dial, a black Cerachrom Bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, and an Oysterflex Bracelet.

And finally, the Ref. 126506 model, priced on request, features a Platinum construction, an ice blue dial with diamond hour marker options, a chestnut brown Cerachrom bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale, and an Oyster Bracelet. In a first for Rolex Oyster cases, the 950 platinum editions also feature a screw-down display case back.

Carrying over from previous iterations, all 2023 Rolex Daytona still have the same 40mm diameter measurement but with wider lugs, the same Triplock screw-down winding crown at 3 o’clock, and water resistance of 100 meters.

Powering the new watches is the Rolex Caliber 4131 automatic movement, an evolution of the in-house Caliber 4130 that first appeared in 2000. The movement features Chronergy escapement, Paraflex shock absorbers, an optimized rotor ball bearing setup for enhanced self-winding, a skeletonized gold-finished oscillating weight, and Rolex Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges. It runs at a frequency of 4 Hz, with a 72-hour power reserve.
