Last year, PEUGEOT unveiled the 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar designed for Le Mans’ hypercar category in the FIA World Endurance Championship and will make its debut at the Le Mans 24 Hour race on June 10th to 11th. LEGO’s Technic division, in cooperation with PEUGEOT, will release a 1:10 scale version of the hypercar to celebrate 100 years of Le Mans racing.
The 1,775-piece LEGO Technic PEUGEOT 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar’s faithful detailing features the hybrid V6 piston engine system, seven-speed transmission, a model version of the electric motor and its connected battery, model-specific suspension, steering via the steering wheel or the gear wheel on top of the model, glow-in-the-dark light elements, and livery graphics and PEUGEOT and sponsor logos.
The LEGO Technic PEUGEOT 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar model measures over five inches high, 19.5 inches long, and nine inches wide when completed and is meant for builders 18 years old and up.
Scheduled to launch on May 1st, the LEGO Technic Peugeot 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar will be available from LEGO and the PEUGEOT dealership network at a retail price of $199.99.
