Nissan’s Motorsports division unveiled the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO. A variant of the Nissan Z, it takes its place above the Z Performance model and is the most powerful of the current Z generation cars.
The 2024 Nissan Z NISMO’s redesigned bodywork includes an extended front fascia, a reworked fine honeycomb mesh grille opening, vertical canards before the front wheels, an extended spoiler, a red stripe underlining the spoiler all the way to the rear, a black-painted roof, three-piece rear spoiler, reshaped rear bumper, gloss black 19” Rays nine-spoke forged-alloy wheels, Dunlop SP Sport MAXX GT600 tires, and NISMO badging. Hidden underneath the surface is additional bracing throughout the car, giving a torsional rigidity 2.5 percent higher than the Z Performance, steel driveshaft, and larger dampers.
The red detailing carries into the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO’s interior accent detailing, including the anodized Stop/Start button and the drive mode selector, and the digital display graphics and startup animation. The interior features manually adjusting Leather and faux suede Recaro seats, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, red accent stitching, and other premium styling options.
Driving the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 based on the GT-R NISMO. It has a redesigned wastegate, better cooling, and performance-enhancing ignition timing, allowing the engine to pump out 420 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. It also comes with four-piston Akebono-bran
ded front brake calipers on 15.0-inch rotors, two-piston rear calipers on 13.8-inch rotors, and track compound brake pads. The 2024 Nissan Z NISMO will only be available with a nine-speed automatic transmission at release.
The 2024 Nissan Z NISMO will offer five color options that include Brilliant Silver, Passion Red, Black Diamond Pearl, Everest White Pearl, and a NISMO-exclusive Stealth Grey. No pricing detail has been released for the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO as of writing. However, we should get more information as the car is expected to go on sale in the fall.
