Gunther Werks Touring Turbo Edition Coupe Gets Bespoke 750 HP Powertrain

Gunther Werks, the California-based bespoke vehicle manufacturer, revealed its latest project last week at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. Based on the Porsche 993 Turbo, the new Gunther Werks Touring Turbo Edition Coupe gets the marque’s signature updates.

On the exterior, the Touring Turbo Edition Coupe gets a ducktail rear spoiler with an integrated carbon shroud, a dedicated carrying case, carbon fiber body panels, a nose lift system, ram-air intake integrated rear fenders, and new LED headlights and taillights.

Inside the cockpit, the Touring Turbo Edition Coupe features a lightweight carbon fiber dashboard, new gauges, a black Alcantara-wrapped bespoke three-spoke carbon fiber steering wheel, black Alcantara shrouded carbon fiber-backed bucket seats, and orange detailing.

Under the hood, the original air-cooled flat-six has been replaced with a bespoke twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter flat-six made by Rothsport Racing, channeled through a modified Getrag six-speed manual transmission. The modifications up the power delivery to 750 hp. It also has a bespoke active coilover suspension system and Brembo brakes.

Though no numbers were revealed, the Gunther Werks Touring Turbo Edition Coupe will have a very limited production run. For more information on Gunther Werks projects, please visit the Gunther Werks website.
